We were approached by Netflix to collaborate with them on a booklet that introduces their Animation slate for the coming year. The publication was to be used at the Annecy Film Festival, as well as other marketing events internally at Netflix. The brief was to create a booklet that covers multiple film and TV projects with equal editorial weighting across the nine core titles (which range from the new Wallace & Gromit film to returning series such as Blue Eye Samurai), alongside a subsection for other upcoming animation projects.
As well as contributions from the writers and director, rather than just including a generic synopsis for each of the core titles, we decided to push the editorial further through collaboration with a selection of journalists specialising in animation. Together, we weaved in “reasons to get excited”, which gave some context to each project, as well as spotlighting special features about the respective animation studios.

To make the booklet more visually appealing, we had a unique illustration for each title which serves as easter eggs to the storyline. These were printed in a striking orange fluorescent to draw the reader's attention and to ensure that they jump off the page, bringing the booklet to life. The result is a bold and bright travel-sized booklet packed with interesting editorial content and striking illustrations to whet the appetite of journalists, awards voters and viewers alike.
