School’s out! For the Summer issue of our indie food and culture title that sees the world through the lens of a sandwich, we wanted something joyful, colourful, a little bit nostalgic – what could be more so than the ice cream sandwich?

The Results

For such a cheerful, happy sandwich we knew we should get someone who lives for fun on the cover. Introducing Benny Blanco, the multi-award-winning mega-producer behind some of the most bubbly, uplifting pop songs out there. He’s been nominated for 10 Grammy Awards, and has contributed to the sale of over 500 million albums worldwide. He also knows a thing or two about cooking – you may have seen him co-hosting the anarchic YouTube series Stupid F*cking Cooking Show and Matty and Benny Eat Out America with Matty Matheson. We had a great time shooting the cover in his kitchen in LA, covering him in edible glitter to best show off this radiant Oatly Raspberry Swirl and Wonderbread ice cream sandwich.
